Following his graduation from the University of Baghdad in 1954, Abbas AL Khatib devoted his professional life to the practice of law. His broad legal knowledge, commitment to professional integrity and experience across all areas of law earned him an esteemed place within Kirkuk’s legal community.
His well-known law office on Al-Jumhuriya Street in Kirkuk was not only a centre for legal practice but also a place of professional mentorship. Under his guidance, aspiring lawyers developed their practical skills across diverse areas of law, with a number going on to distinguish themselves in the profession.
His legacy extends beyond the clients he represented to the generations of legal practitioners he helped guide, and the enduring values of knowledge, diligence and service to justice.
